Savannah Marshall has a second chance to become an undisputed champion this weekend.
The ‘Silent Assassin’ had earned a perfect 12-0 record, including 10 KOs, before coming up against long-time rival and undisputed middleweight champion Claressa Shields in October. The Hartlepool boxer lost a unanimous decision but has been given the opportunity to fight for undisputed status at super middleweight against Franchon Crews-Dezurn.
Initially on the undercard for the postponed Liam Smith and Chris Eubank Jr rematch, Marshall’s latest bid for greatness has been given top billing. On the undercard, Natasha Jonas is aiming to become a two-weight world champion as she fights for the iBF welterweight title against Kandi Wyatt and is joined by rising prospect Zak Chelli and Olympic medalist Ben Whittaker.

What has been said
Savannah Marshall: “Boxxer mentioned a couple of opponents but for me, at the higher weights, the pool is so shallow. I just couldn’t get up for an eight-rounder. For me to do a camp for someone I’m expected to walk through, how could I expect people to come and pay money to see me walk through someone?”
Franchon Crews-Dezurn: "It's going to be payback and getting paid,” she said, referencing an amateur loss to Marshall, back in 2011. “You ain't got nothing. I've got it all and I'm going to keep it.
"I'm in the future now, it's not about what you did, it's what you are doing. And I'm blessed to be undisputed, still being consistent, still competing at the top level and I want to continue to do that for as long as I can.”
