Eurovision returns on Thursday evening for the second semi-final ahead of the big night on Saturday, with big hopes for Ireland’s entry Brooke Scullion.
We’re up against the likes of Sweden, Cyprus, Belgium and Australia. The song contest is back for the last round before the Grand Final on Saturday night, taking place in Turin, Italy.

What countries are performing on Thursday?
Eighteen countries will be performing, with Finland kicking things off with their song ‘Jezebel’.
Israel, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Malta, San Marino and Australia will follow. Cyprus takes to the stage just before Ireland.
We are tenth in the queue, ahead of North Macedonia, Estonia, Romania, Poland, Montenegro, Belgium, Sweden and Czech Republic.
Who is representing Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest?
Derry native Brooke Scullion will take to the stage for Ireland with her song ‘That’s Rich’.
The 23-year-old has appeared as an extra in Derry Girls and Game of Thrones and came third in The Voice UK with Meghan Trainor as her mentor.
Ireland hasn’t qualified for the final since 2018 with Ryan O’Shaughnessy’s song ‘Together’, but Brooke is hoping to make it through.
Speaking on the Late Late Show, the singer said: "I know Ireland has, like, a massive history in Eurovision and, for me, my main goal at this rate is qualifying.
"So to even get us back in the way of competing again would be my goal. Actually, the UK can vote for me, which means that the North of Ireland can vote, which is a really, really strong position to be in."
Where can I watch the Eurovision semi-finals?
The semi-final kicks off at 8pm on Thursday on RTE2, RTE Player and RTE Radio 1.
Broadcasting legend Marty Whelan will be commentating and we’re sure he’ll have plenty of jokes to keep us entertained throughout.
The Grand Final is on Saturday, May 14, and will start at 8pm.
What else do I need to know?
The United Kingdom, Spain and Germany are members of the ‘Big 5’ that can vote in tonight’s show, which, as Brooke said, will hopefully play in our favour.
Operatic pop trio Il Volo will perform during the interval. According to Betfair, Ukraine, UK and Italy look to be this year’s favourites.
