What time and TV channel is the All-Ireland hurling final between Limerick and Kilkenny on today?

Kilkenny and Limerick clash in an All-Ireland hurling final for the first time in 15 years.

The Cats ran out winners on that occasion by 2-19 to 1-15, but come into this decider in much different circumstances.

Brian Cody's men were the heavy favourites to win that 2007 final, while Limerick were the underdogs, but things are the other way round this time.

Limerick are aiming to be crowned All-Ireland champions for a third consecutive year and come into the match as the odds-on favourites with the bookies.

Quotes corner

Limerick manager John Kiely: "Our focus will be 95% on ourselves, if you like, in terms of what we want to do on the day, in terms of what way we want to play. The performance that we want to bring. That’s always been the case for us.

“We will obviously take into account the opposition and we will be planning for how we’re going to manage certain aspects of what they’re going to bring to the table.

“Ultimately it’ll be 95% about ourselves and the performance we can bring because if we don’t get that right it’s irrelevant what we do about the rest.”

Kilkenny manager Brian Cody: “We have seven or eight players who haven’t played in an All-Ireland final – even though we played in one a few years ago.

“That’s how new our team is. It has to be an advantage for them, the fact that we do have that inexperience against their great experience.

“But again, that doesn’t bother me either because they’re the players we have. I have great faith and trust in them and they showed (against Clare) why I should have.

“It’s been a while since we played them but what they’ve done over the last couple of years is on a different level to what we’ve been doing, obviously.

“They’re the champions for the last two years. They’re just a top quality team and they have all the ingredients that any great team wants."
