Rangers striker Kemar Roofe bagged himself his first hat-trick for the club in the 4-0 romp of St Mirren.
His three goals, along with Joe Aribo's wonder strike, secured the three points for the Ibrox side as they bounced back from two disappointing defeats.
Roofe was called upon to lead the line with Alfredo Morelos out for remainder of the season.
Morelos' absence has caused some concern but Roofe showed he has the quality to step into the Colombian's boots.
Speaking after today's game the ex-Leeds frontman reckons he has nothing to prove, regardless of this performance at the SISMA stadium this lunchtime.
"I think I've proved it already. Regardless of today or the last games", said Roofe. And the pundits certainly agreed with the Jamaica international.
But what did the pundits make of this performance?
Kris Boyd
Speaking during the half time break on Sky Sports, Boyd was full of praise for Roofe.
The ex-Rangers favourite is somewhat confused over why the striker has not featured more throughout the season.
"He will score goals, he gets himself in the right position," he said. "And why it has taken so long to get him in the starting 11, especially in games like this, is baffling.
"But we are here today and he has scored two great goals."
James McFadden
James McFadden agreed with his Sky Sports sidekick as he applauded Roofe's effort.
Speaking about Roofe's second minute header during the half time chat, McFadden said: "The movement of Roofe, he goes as if he is going to attack it but he just takes a step back to his right.
"The header is terrific, the movement is excellent"
Alan Hutton
Alan Hutton was impressed by Roofe's performance as the striker took on the frontman role in Alfredo Morelos' absence.
The ex-Rangers defender told BBC Radio Scotland: "There were question marks when Alfredo Morelos was injured about who was going to step up and take that place - and Kemar Roofe did that.
"It's a huge week coming up for Rangers. Braga first and then a (Scottish Cup) semi-final, a defining week and this was a good result to build confidence and momentum."
