A gang of girls on a Christmas do attacked a woman outside a Tiki bar after one of them lost a false fingernail in an earlier toilet bust-up with the victim, a court was told. The woman, aged in her 20s, was punched and pulled by her hair to the ground before the five-strong gang ran away.
The court heard the beating outside a tropical-themed bar only came to an end when her police officer boyfriend, who had come to pick her up, intervened.
Magistrates were told she suffered bruising when her head hit the ground, scuffs to her knees and scratches to her face. Her mobile phone was also smashed during the violence.
