What the current average house price can get you across Co Tyrone

House prices have risen steadily across Northern Ireland this quarter, with a nationwide rise of more than 10%.

The average price for a house in Northern Ireland is £164,590 and ranges from £145,741 in Derry City and Strabane to £189,968 in Lisburn and Castlereagh.

Across the three council areas covering Co Tyrone, there have been steep rises over the last year and they have even jumped over the last quarter.

In Fermanagh and Omagh, house prices have shot up 13% in the last year, while in Derry and Strabane they are up 9.4% on average, and 11.8% in Mid Ulster.

Here's the average house price across all three areas according to the latest figures from the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency:

Derry City and Strabane - £145,741

Fermanagh and Omagh - £153,267

Mid Ulster £159,605

With that in mind we thought we would share a look at some of the properties you can get for that average price in each of those council areas:

Derry and Strabane

In Clady, just outside Strabane, this four bed semi-detached home is on the market for £144,500.

Meanwhile, in Strabane town itself this for just over the average house price for the area could get this three-bed semi detached home.

Being a little closer to the main town does get you a little bit less for your money, with this one on the market for £150,000.

Fermanagh and Omagh

This area saw one of the highest yearly rises of any of the council areas over the last twelve months.

Quite close to Omagh town centre is this three bed detached bungalow , which is on the market for around £150,000.

If you venture outside the town then you can get a little more for your money as expected.

In Seskinore, a quiet village a few miles from Omagh, you can get this three bed semi detached for around the same price.

Mid Ulster

Currently the most expensive of the three council areas covering Co Tyrone, let's see what the average house price of just under £160,000 can get you in the east of the county.

At pretty much exactly on the average house price for the area is this three bed semi-detached bungalow in Cookstown.

It has a fairly central town location and quite a bit of space in its back garden for £159,950.

For somewhere a little bit more rural but with good connections to the M1, this three bed end townhouse is on for over £155,000.

Quite modern but maybe not as much space as some of the others for the average price.
