The Boston Celtics have designs on getting back to the NBA finals this season, but in order to get there, they will need to blaze another path through some very worthy opponents in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. And as is always the case, the Celtics have learned which East ball clubs they match up well with, and which teams seem to have their number.
When it comes to the latter category of opponents, which opponents ought the Celtics look to avoid meeting if they could choose to, given any avoidance in the postseason will largely be out of their hands given their pursuit of the East’s top seed? The Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers are the obvious answers, but what about the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and New York Knicks?
The hosts of the “Green With Envy” podcast debated this particular topic on a recent episode.
Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear which franchises they think the Celtics would prefer to avoid in the playoffs.
