What songs did Paul McCartney play at Glastonbury? Full setlist from legend's stunning Pyramid Stage set

Sir Paul McCartney treated thousands at Glastonbury and millions around the world to a near 40-song set list last night.

The stunning two-and-a-half hour show represented a complete overview of his 60-year plus musical career, ranging from a pre-Beatles song by The Quarrymen, right up to his newest material. And as well as beloved tracks by The Beatles and from Sir Paul's later group Wings, the set included some lesser-known tunes which were probably only familiar to McCartney aficionados.

The former Beatle became the festival's oldest solo headliner, a week after he celebrated his 80th birthday (although some older artists have previously featured lower down the Glastonbury bill).

Last night's electrifying show - a recording of which was also broadcast on BBC1 - included surprise appearances from Bruce Springsteen and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl. As part of the encore, through special technology which could isolate Lennon's vocals from old recordings, Sir Paul was able to duet The Beatles' track I've Got A Feeling alongside his former bandmate on the Pyramid Stage.

To end the historic set he sang The Beatles' song The End to a cheering crowd with Springsteen and Grohl also returning to provide guitar solos.

The complete set list ran as follows:
