A beaming Sir Alex Ferguson embraced Erik ten Hag after Manchester United's League Cup success on Sunday - then invited himself in for a drink.
Legendary boss Ferguson watched on as his old team lifted their first trophy under Ten Hag, beating Newcastle 2-0 in the Carabao Cup Final at Wembley. There's a feeling of optimism at United seldom seen since Ferguson retired with a return to the Champions League on the agenda and the potential for more silverware to follow this term.
Ten Hag has been praised for his man-management, handling difficult situations with Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho and many have compared him to Ferguson in the way he has set the standards high. And it seems the legendary Scot approves as he was waiting in the Wembley tunnel to give him a hug and congratulate him.
In the clip above it's been revealed that Ferguson joked: "Can we go have a drink now?" and a chuckling Ten Hag replied: "Of course, come in."
