What Roman Abramovich and Marina Granovskaia did after Chelsea secured Club World Cup title

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was spotted in a nice moment with Thomas Tuchel after the final whistle went in the Club World Cup final against Palmeiras.

The Blues completed the full sweep of trophies under the Abramovich era as Tuchel won the club's first Club World Cup title.

Romelu Lukaku had put the Blues 1-0 up in the 55th minute with his powerful header from a Callum Hudson-Odoi cross but they were pegged back minutes later through a controversial penalty conceded by Thiago Silva.

Into extra time and after huffing and puffing from the European Champions, they finally blew the Palmeiras house down and one man in particular repeated a trick that was seen in Porto at the end of the last term.

Havertz, 22, hasn't been a serial goal scorer since his much-anticipated move from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2020 but one thing that is ever-present in his game is his ability to step up in the big moments.

Just like he did against Man City when he rounded Ederson to slot in the winning goal in the Champions League final, he was called upon yet again to slot home a penalty late into extra time against the resilient Brazilians.

After Cesar Azpilicueta won a penalty for his side with his snapshot inside the area which hit an arm, with no Jorginho on the pitch, it initially looked like the Spaniard was set to take the responsibility.

However, the Germany international took the ball and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to send the Chelsea fans into raptures.

Abramovich himself, who was spotted clapping and fist-pumping on Channel 4's coverage of the final after deciding to make the trip across Eastern Europe to the Middle East, celebrated more after the proceedings were brought to an end after a crazy last few minutes in the Mohammad Bin Zayad Stadium.

As spotted in the post-match celebrations, the Russian owner entered the field with Marina Granovskaia and as soon as he saw Tuchel, gave him a big high-five and presented him with a beaming smile.

Could that smile and high-five mean that he is set to once again put his money on the table in the summer after a quiet window to start 2022.
