What Partey did to Holding as Xhaka shouts at Ramsdale in Arsenal moments missed vs Man City

Arsenal's Premier League title hopes suffered a huge blow as they were comfortably beaten by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. The game got off to an awful start for the Gunners who were a goal down after seven minutes following Kevin De Bruyne's early strike.

It could easily have been more in the first half as Erling Haaland missed a hatful of chances. Right on the stroke of half time John Stones then headed in to put the game beyond Arsenal's reach after an intervention from VAR.

It went from bad to worse in the second period as the Gunners were caught open at the back time and again before De Bruyne netted his second to make it three. Rob Holding was able to grab a consolation but it was too little, too late as Haaland eventually added another one late in stoppage time. As the Gunners looked to play themselves back into the game, the City press caused them all manner of problems and they kept going long. On one occasion Ramsdale booted up the pitch, ceding possession. This prompted fury from Granit Xhaka who turned around a gestured to his keeper to keep the ball on the ground.

Guardiola jumps on to the pitch

It was a great start for Manchester City with Kevin De Bruyne's early goal, but even after going 1-0 up, Pep Guardiola still wasn't happy. As his side pressed high to try and win a second Bernardo Silva was penalised for a foul on Granit Xhaka that would have set City off on a swift counter.

Safe to say Guardiola disagreed with the decision. The Spaniard leapt around in fury gesticulating wildly and even hopping on to the pitch at one point to yell expletives at Michael Oliver. Richard Keys would not have been happy...
