What NFL star did to show Tottenham love ahead of New York Giants vs Green Bay Packers in London

NFL star Saqoun Barkley donned the Tottenham Hotspur third stadium shirt ahead of New York Giants versus Green Bay Packers. The blockbuster clash has been hosted by the north London side's stadium, which is the first built outside of the United States designed to be used in part as a host venue for NFL matches.

As part of a 10-year partnership with the NFL, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium host a minimum of two games per year. The ground has an artificial field with all the relevant NFL markings underneath a retractable pitch.

And, in the second of three NFL games being played at the ground this month, Barkley paid homage to the Premier League outfit in the pre-match warm-up. The 25-year-old running back wore the turquoise shirt as the New York Giants look to climb up the NFC East table.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosted several NFL clashes last year and it was very well received by the Atalanta Falcons. Falcons head coach Arthur Smith said: "Big-time stadium and atmosphere. Like I said, we love coming over here. It's spectacular. The whole environment since we've been here, we got treated so well.

"Our operations team along with everybody that worked together over here. Unbelievable stadium and great atmosphere. We were happy to be part of it."

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was also very complimentary of Spurs' dynamic ground and even claimed that it could better than Wembley. He said: "It was incredible. This stadium is beautiful. It's amazing. The atmosphere was really cool. Probably one of the best flyovers I've ever seen. Those planes were tight to the stadium. That got my juices going before the game.

"I've done this twice. I've been able to come over here and play here twice. It's always a special event. A huge thank you to everybody over here in the UK who makes it such a special event for us.

"It feels better [than when he played at Wembley seven years ago], we left here with a win this time (laughter). I'm a fan of this stadium. But even Wembley, the history of that stadium, what it means to this country and the games that have been played, the magnitude of those games. It's not lost on us coming over here to play in Wembley as well. I've really enjoyed both of my experiences over here."
