Arsenal's first recruit of the summer transfer window Marquinhos has summed up his immediate feelings to his Premier League move as Edu's Brazilian connections helps the Gunners get off the mark in the transfer window.

Part of the club statement on Arsenal's official website included immediate thoughts from sporting director Edu, who was instrumental in helping the Gunners complete what could be a very smart signing for the future.
Edu stated: "We're delighted to have completed the transfer with Sao Paulo, as Marquinhos was a player we had been watching for a while. At 19, he is still very young, so he is a player for the future. We look forward to Marquinhos joining us for pre-season, making his new home, and continuing to grow and develop with us."
