Moises Caicedo could hand in a transfer request just days after claiming that he's 'focused on Brighton'. The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to both Arsenal and Chelsea this month as he continues to impress for the Seagulls.
football.london understands that the Gunners have had a £60million bid for the midfielder rejected. It's said that Roberto De Zerbi's side are unwilling to sell Caicedo this month, with Brighton looking to clinch a European qualification place this season.
The south coast outfit are believed to have had an approach for RB Leipzig star Amadou Haidara rejected so, unless they can sign a replacement for the Ecuador international, it looks likely that neither Mikel Arteta or Graham Potter will able able to wrap up deal.

It's also understood that Chelsea are expected to persevere in their mission to sign Caicedo before the transfer deadline in a few days. As it stands, Brighton have remained stubborn as they stand strongly by the midfielder's £75million price tag.
With a deal yet to be reached, Caicedo is considering submitting a transfer request in order to force an exit from the Amex Stadium, according to the Daily Mail. The report states that the Ecuadorian wants to test himself at a higher level.
But, only a few days ago, he pledged his focus on Brighton. In an interview with Brighton's website, Caicedo said: "I am focused on Brighton.
"I am here, I am playing every day. Things from outside don’t trouble me, nor does it take that focus away because I’m focused only on here.
"I handle [the speculation] well. You hear rumours here and there, but I only try to be focused on the club where I am now, the club which opened the doors for me to be playing every week."
Amid speculation over Caicedo's future, De Zerbi has insisted that he wants his star man until at least the summer. The Italian said: "He [Caicedo] is a good guy - he is focused on Brighton.
"I hope he can stay with us until the end of the season. In my opinion that is the best solution for us. I can understand other big teams want Caicedo, Mac Allister, Mitoma, and March.
"I spoke with him on Wednesday and I told him my opinion. It is always difficult to change during the season. For our way, it is important for him to stay a few more months.
"He is relaxed. I spoke with him like a father, not a coach. I understand when one player has the possibility to change to a very big team. But my work is to give the style of play but also advice for his career and his life."
