Michael Beale was full of emotion in November last year after he left Rangers to join Steven Gerrard's new challenge at Aston Villa.
Now, the current Queens Park Rangers manager has a chance, exactly one year on, to take the Ibrox hot-seat for himself with Gerrard's successor Giovanni Van Bronckhorst out of the picture in Glasgow. Beale, who has managed less than 30 games at Loftus Road, looks set to become the number one man at Ibrox with the Rangers hierarchy moving quickly.
Beale was often credited by players as being a huge influence when Gerrard was in charge, and now the Englishman has the chance to take the reins in Glasgow, when the Light Blues need a revival to attempt to cut the gap back on Celtic who are nine points clear.
