Manchester United have a simple to ask to qualify for the Champions League as they bid to finish in the Premier League top-four.
Newcastle United secured their place among Europe's elite with a 0-0 draw with relegation threatened Leicester City on Monday night. The Magpies were unable to break down the Foxes and the game ended 0-0. To finish third, Manchester United need to win both of their final two matches. They currently trail Newcastle by a point but have a game in hand.
If they were to beat Chelsea on Thursday, they would just need to match Newcastle's result on the final day of the season. Because of their inferior goal difference, they have to finish ahead of the Magpies on points.

To secure a spot in the top four and Champions League football, United only need one point. Liverpool are three points behind with one match left to play. With Newcastle having secured their top four spot, it is a straight fight between United and Liverpool.
Erik ten Hag's side are strong favourites but should United lose their final two matches and Liverpool beat Southampton on the last day then Jurgen Klopp's side would sneak fourth on goal difference. If the Merseysiders fail to beat the Saints then United will finish at least fourth regardless of how they fare in the final few days of the campaign.
