What Manchester United legend David Beckham told Jude Bellingham after Real Madrid transfer

Jude Bellingham has revealed that he received a good luck message from former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham following his move to Real Madrid.

The 20-year-old has become the seventh British player to join the illustrious Bernabeu club, following in the footsteps of legends like Beckham, Gareth Bale, and Michael Owen, after his whopping £88.5million move from Borussia Dortmund last month that could surpass £115m with add-ons.

Beckham, who created quite a buzz when he made the switch from United in 2003, boosting his global profile, recently reached out to Bellingham, who is now part of the Madrid squad. The young star is considering tapping into Beckham's and other former players' wisdom about life in the Spanish capital.

Bellingham, who was previously linked with both United and Manchester City, said: "David Beckham messaged me briefly to wish me all the best. It is one of those moves where everyone has their input from the outside, so you do hear a lot of things and advice.

"I am quite good at filtering out the good from the bad, so far it has been really positive from ex-players. I will try and take that on board and at some point maybe get in touch with them and see how they adapted to life in Spain."

As part of his efforts to adapt to his new life in Spain, Bellingham has taken up the task of learning the language. He has started using a learning app, aiming to expand on the vocabulary he was taught in school.

"I have got it on my phone, I've got a good little streak going at the minute," said the former Birmingham City player. "It's nine days since I started taking it properly seriously. It is one of those things where you hear it and you start to pick up little things and you see it on TV with interviews of other players, so it comes a bit more naturally than you think. It is a lot easier than trying to learn German at least. I did Spanish at school up to year 9, obviously, in hindsight, I would have carried it on."
