Amid growing pressure on Rangers manager Philippe Clement following a poor 2024/25 season to date, speculation has mounted that Kevin Muscat could be the one to lead the club forward.
The Australian came incredibly close to becoming the head coach of the Scottish Premiership giants in October 2023, before Ibrox chiefs eventually opted to give the job to Clement following the dismissal of Michael Beale.
Muscat was manager of Yokohama F. Marinos at the time - Ange Postecoglou's former side.
He's since moved to China, where he's enjoyed more success.
Having just guided Shanghai Port to a Chinese FA Cup triumph shortly after claiming the Super League title, the former Rangers midfielder now wants his side to go for glory in the Asian Champions League.
The 51-year-old insists that's all he's focussed on ahead of his side's fixture against South Korean side Ulsan, played at 10am UK time today.
He told Titan Sports: "In the AFC Champions League, our performance has indeed been inconsistent, which has led to unstable results.

"There are still four matches left in this phase of the AFC Champions League this season. We hope the team can deliver consistent performances, starting with tomorrow's match.
"Ulsan HD shares many similarities with us this season. Both teams have won their domestic top-tier league titles, and they are about to play in their cup final as well.
"However, neither team has achieved particularly good results in the AFC Champions League so far."
