Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate could only muster a wry smile after Jurgen Klopp quipped about his last-gasp miss against Arsenal in their Premier League on Sunday.
The Frenchman couldn't steer the ball home after Darwin Nunez's header back across goal was clawed away by Gunners saviour Aaron Ramsdale. The opportunity would've completed the comeback for the Reds after they slumped to a two-goal deficit after Gabriel Martinelli pounced on Liverpool's defensive lapse before turning provider as Gabriel Jesus headed home.
Mohamed Salah sparked the fightback before substitute Roberto Firmino restored parity late on. The Egyptian squandered the chance to equalise before the hour after putting his penalty wide.

Konate opted for an unorthodox approach to grab a late winner as he looked to chest the ball into the back of the net but the England shot-stopper was on hand to frustrate Liverpool once more.
In behind-the-scenes footage posted by the club, it shows the German walking past the former RB Leipzig defender in the corridor at Anfield motioning to him how he should've converted late on.
Klopp was in good spirits despite the late disappointment but Konate could only shrug off the joke from the manager.
Taking to Instagram post-match, the 23-year-old was pleased with the response to going two goals down but acknowledged his "big moment".
He wrote: "We showed great personality to come back from 2 goals down today. My chance late in the game was a big moment but unfortunately it just wouldn’t go in. We move on to the next. Thank you Anfield."
