The Blues have six vital fixtures as they look to climb back out of the relegation zone before the end of the campaign. A match against Frank Lampard's former club is first on the agenda, and picking up three points is seemingly becoming more important as the hours go by.

Tunnel gestures
Training at Goodison Park is certainly not a regular feature for the Everton squad, and it will certainly be interesting to see what effect it has on them when Chelsea make the trip to Merseyside on Sunday afternoon.
The players certainly seemed to enjoy being in the tunnel in the latest set of images released from their recent session on Friday. And, a couple of stars were clear to show their appreciation of the home stadium before they took to the pitch.
Yerry Mina could be show placing both hands on the sign above the end of the tunnel just before you head up the stairs and into the Goodison air. Seamus Coleman could also be seen touching the sign before making his own way onto the pitch as well.
They might not have been walking up to the tune of Z Cars and the noise created by thousands of Everton fans, but stepping onto that grass still seems very special.
Right attitude
The aspect that really stands out in the latest set of training images is how together the squad seem. It was disappointing to lose the Merseyside derby the last time out, but that doesn't seem to have affected the morale of the squad.
Instantly you can see that there are smiles on the faces of the majority of the players as they take to the pitch. That's indicative of the positive attitude that Lampard is keen to instil over the course of this week.
But, on the flip side, there's also the right sense of commitment from these pictures too. Richarlison making what looked like a full-bodied, but fair, challenge on Mina in particular shows the desire that's on display from this squad in their attempts to improve.
They need to be able to harness both sides of this if they are to get the results they need in these final six matches of the season. These training images are at least a good sign that is being picked up on.
Calvert-Lewin conversation
There's a real chance that Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be absolutely crucial for Everton's hopes of survival this season. He's been out of fitness and out of form throughout the majority of the campaign, but the Blues are in desperate need for the goals he can provide.
Lampard confirmed in his pre-match press conference that the striker was back in training with the side and he would be in the squad for the match against Chelsea. Whether that will translate to a start will remain to be seen.
But the latest images from Goodison show that he seemed to take full part in the session with his teammates. And, a few of the pictures show him having an individual conversation with Duncan Ferguson as part of the session.
The England international has often spoke of the Everton hero's influence on his development, could he have been giving some vital tips as he hunts for his first goal of the calendar year?
Pickford strike
You'll have had to be tuned in to the club's Instagram account on Saturday afternoon to see this one. As ever, the club's goalkeepers spent much of the session working on their own, testing each other as much as possible before joining in some match-practice with the rest of the squad later on.
But it was during that work with his peers that Jordan Pickford found a rare occasion to show off his shooting ability. The ball is played to him off camera and he shapes up to shoot from a fair distance at an angle, with Andy Lonergan the man between the sticks.
The England No.1 shaped himself well, made good connection with his left foot and curled one beyond his teammate and right into the far top corner.
Maybe the Blues could do with him up front this weekend!
