What is Russell Brand’s net worth?

YouTube has prevented Russell Brand from making money from any of his video channels following the allegations made against him.

The comedian and actor has denied claims made by four women in The Sunday Times and Channel 4 Dispatches that he committed sexual offences between 2006 and 2013.

The 48-year-old has a channel under his own name, as well as Football Is Nice, Awakening With Russell, and Stay Free With Russell Brand. His content through the internet has been a large part of his recent anti-establishment strategy that has won him millions of subscribers.

YouTube said in a statement:  “If a creator’s off-platform behaviour harms our users, employees or ecosystem, we take action to protect the community.”

Brand’s content remains online despite him being stripped of the right to make money from it.

While this is unlikely to significantly dent his fortune, the comic might need to be keeping an eye on his bank balance as he prepares to defend his name.

How much was Brand making on YouTube?

The amount a content creator can make on YouTube can vary depending on their reach but the Guardian estimates Brand rakes in £2,000 to £4,000 per video.

The Mail puts their annual estimate at £1 million for the amount Brand can make every year purely from YouTube.

Advertisers pay a rate to YouTube for every 1,000 views of their advert, with the site taking 45 per cent of this and the creator getting 55 per cent.

What is Russell Brand’s net worth?

Reports vary as to how much Brand is worth. The Mail puts him at between £15 million and £40 million but the Times has a more conservative listing of £10 million.

Pablo Diablo’s Legitimate Business Firm, Brand’s registered company, has £4 million in the bank having earned more than £2 million, pre tax, in 2021.

Among his assets are a five-bedroom house in Los Angeles and a £3.3 million seven-bedroom house in Oxfordshire where he lives with his wife, Laura Gallacher. In addition, he owns The Crown, an Oxfordshire pub, but this has not reopened since he took it on in 2020.
