Indian travellers planning to visit Thailand should ensure they carry all required travel documents before departure, according to an advisory issued by the Indian embassy in Thailand.
The advisory asks visitors to keep a valid passport, confirmed return ticket, hotel booking, travel itinerary and complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before arrival.
The advisory outlines the key documents and requirements that Indian travellers should meet to avoid delays during immigration checks. It also reminds visitors to carry the appropriate visa based on the purpose of their travel.
Key requirements for Indian travellers
Travellers must hold a passport with at least six months' validity from the date of arrival. They should also have confirmed return tickets, hotel reservations and a clear travel plan.

The advisory states that visitors must fill out the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within 72 hours before arrival.
Tourists using the Visa Waiver or Visa on Arrival (VOA) facility should carry at least THB 20,000 per passenger in cash.
Authorities have also advised travellers to keep all documents ready before reaching the immigration counter. Those travelling in groups should carry their own individual documents instead of relying on a group member.
Visa and transit rules
The advisory further states that visitors who have received a job offer should not use the Visa Waiver or Visa on Arrival facility and must obtain the appropriate visa for their purpose of travel.

Passengers transiting through Thailand should also carry all required documents, including a valid visa, for their final destination wherever applicable.
