What Harry Kane really thinks of Sadio Mane ahead of possible Liverpool legend partnership

Bayern Munich have reportedly lodged a bid for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane which could see him line-up alongside Liverpool icon Sadio Mane.

Both players locked horns during the Senegalese star's time in the Premier League with the Reds as the north London club and Jurgen Klopp's side embarked on fierce battles. Spurs were often looking to dent Liverpool's title charge, as they did when they earned a draw at Anfield under Antonio Conte.

According to The Athletic, the German champions have tabled a £60.2m bid for the England captain and record goalscorer with his contract in the capital in its final year.

Kane's future has been under speculation for a number of seasons with Manchester City, Manchester United and Bayern among the clubs vying for his signature. His time at Spurs has seen him earn a number of personal accolades but silverware has eluded the Englishman as the clubs barren spell continues.

It has been reported that while Ange Postecoglu's side are expected to rebuff the German's approach, Kane has declared his "readiness" to make the move to the Bundesliga giants.

Should the two parties reach an agreement it will see Kane and the aforementioned Mane become teammates for the first time. And the England star has already showed his appreciation for the former Liverpool attacker.

During his final season at Anfield before his move to Bayern, the Senegal forward was instrumental in helping keep the Reds on their pursuit of an unprecedented quadruple.

His performance caught the eye of Gareth Southgate's skipper as he voted Mane as the second-best player at FIFA's TheBest awards between Lionel Messi and Karim Benzema.

The Argentine would go on to win the award but he did not pick up a record eighth Ballon d'Or as the Frenchman went on to win the illustrious accolade ahead of the former Liverpool star.
