Jordan Jones, a 28-year-old former Indoor Football League star, was fatally shot outside a bar in Acworth, Georgia, over the weekend after attempting to break up a fight. Jones, who was working as a security guard at the time, was rushed to Kennestone Hospital in Marietta but later succumbed to his injuries. The suspect, 25-year-old Daniel Di Vonne Parsons, has been arrested and charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery.

The Acworth Police Department confirmed officers were dispatched to Saddle Bar at approximately 2:42 AM on Saturday following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound and immediately rendered aid. Jones was identified as the victim and later died at the hospital. Authorities stated the investigation remains active and ongoing, with no additional details currently available.
