Fans of Coronation Street all assumed a character was "already dead" ahead of a health scare.
Kevin was in work, having a chat with Abi, when he received a call from a German number. He answered a bit perplexed but in a chipper mood before his face suddenly dropped.
Abi watched on with concern etched across her face until Kevin hung up. He said: "It's my dad. He's had a heart attack."

But fans on Twitter were confused as they thought the character, who last appeared on our screens back in 2011, was "already dead". William said: "I thought Kevin's dad was dead! #Corrie."
Marie said: "Thought Kevin's dad was already dead #Corrie." Greg said: "Kevin’s dad who he’s not mentioned or seen for years has had a heart attack. I thought he was already dead. #corrie."
Bill Webster is currently living in Germany, very much alive although ill. He has suffered two heart attacks previously - one of which saw Kevin fly out to Germany to help nurse him back to health.
However the actor who played Bill, Peter Armitage, died back in 2018 at 79 years old. Peter starred as Bill in Coronation Street for six months in 1984, then reappeared on the cobbles between 1995 and 1997, and again from 2006 to 2011.
