Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver is mourning the death of his two-year-old son, who died on 28 June after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool at a home outside Houston, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The news emerged publicly only this weekend, after weeks in which Oliver, 28, continued to work through training camp while privately grieving. The boy, who was also named Ed, was discovered by family members in the pool before being rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead that evening.
