After a heart-wrenching defeat in Paris on Saturday night, some supporters could have been forgiven for not being enthusiastic about the thought of Sunday’s victory parade. The mood had changed following the match, made worse by the treatment many faced before and after the game.
Fans, journalists and even the club have questioned UEFA and French authorities over the final at the Stade de France. With upsetting and distressing reports still emerging, it almost didn’t feel like the parade was what the players, fans or city of Liverpool needed.
