Alex Iwobi saw his shirt thrown back at him by Everton fans as tensions in the away end boiled over after another dismal defeat at Bournemouth.
The Toffees lost by three goals for a second-time in five days at the Vitality Stadium, with goals from Marcus Tavernier, Kieffer Moore and Jaidon Anthony securing a comfortable home win without reply. Everton's lack of creative spark and profligacy in front of goal were once again laid bare in front of 3,000 travelling fans, but more concerning were the defensive errors that led to all three goals.
Jordan Pickford spilled Dominic Solanke's tame effort right into the path of Tavernier for the opener, while defending for both Moore and Anthony goals left a lot to be desired. Frank Lampard's side rarely troubled the Bournemouth goal, failing to find the net for the third consecutive league games, and after the final whistle, Blues fans made their feelings unmistakably clear.

There were some unsavoury scenes as players trudged over to the away end to acknowledge their fans - most of whom will have endured a 600-mile round-trip to watch the game - with numerous stewards and some police assistance attempting to keep things from boiling over.
Iwobi threw his match-worn shirt into the crowd but promptly saw it launched back his way and ending up on the turf as the Nigerian walked away. Pickford was seen remonstrating with some fans before also turning his back and walking away from the situation.
Club captain Seamus Coleman, along with Lampard, attempted to keep the peace with the travelling fanbase, but to no avail. the Blues boss eventually held his hands up in apology as he led his players back to the dressing room.
Asked by the Echo after the game for his thoughts on those scenes, Lampard said: "The fans have a right to be disappointed. They have come down here twice this week and seen poor performances... we have to understand that they can voice their opinions and their opinions are right today."
