The news came straight from him, and it hit hard. Popular streamer Brandon “Brawadis” Awadis lost his dog Booker on April 30, 2026. He didn’t hide the pain. Instead, he shared it with his audience through an emotional YouTube video showing their final moments together. Booker had been fighting lymphoma cancer, and things got worse very quickly in the last few days.
Just days before, fans already knew the situation was serious. On April 19, Brawadis posted a video explaining that Booker’s cancer had no cure. He said, “There’s a lot of cancers that dogs get that are treatable… Unfortunately, lymphoma cancer, the type of cancer that my baby was diagnosed with, there’s no cure. Okay? Once you have it, you have it.” From there, everything moved fast, and the updates became more painful.
Brandon “Brawadis” Awadis opens up about Booker’s final hours and emotional decision
By April 27, Brawadis shared another update on X, and this time the news was worse. He revealed that Booker’s cancer had turned into a resistant stage. The treatments stopped working, and the disease spread across his body. He explained, “Got heartbreaking news from the doctor today. Booker’s lymphoma cancer has now unfortunately progressed to resistant lymphoma cancer meaning his cancer has stopped responding to all medicines & chemotherapy treatments.”
He also described Booker’s condition in simple but painful words. “He’s stopped eating his food, is very lethargic, and is having trouble breathing. He doesn’t look good.” At that point, it was clear that Booker was suffering.
Then came the hardest decision. Brawadis said he didn’t want to be selfish. Even though he wanted more time, he knew Booker’s comfort mattered more. He shared, “I’ve always said that I can’t be selfish when it comes to Booker… if he is suffering, I need to do what’s best for him.”
On April 30, he uploaded the final video titled “rest in peace, Booker.” In it, he explained how the vet made sure Booker would not feel pain. “The nurse came back… and she said that the first injection had went into full effect and Booker is really sleepy and he’s not going to feel anything from the second injection.”
The most emotional part came during the goodbye. Family members surrounded Booker, giving him love. Brawadis said, “There was a lot of I love you Bookers… everybody just made Booker feel really loved and comfortable in his final moments.”
Before the last injection, he stayed alone with his dog. “It was a really emotional moment for me knowing that this was the last time I was going to hold my baby in my arms.” As the moment came, he broke down and said, “I wasn’t ready to do this today. I’m so sorry. I don’t think anybody ever was ready.”
