Joe Mazzulla is now the official head coach of the Boston Celtics, and the interim tag he’s carried all seasons now somewhere in a dustbin. But there were 59 games played by the Celtics with the West Virginia alum at the helm of the ball club. How would we grade Mazzulla’s work under the interim title before he made full head coach?
We should probably also take into account all of the injuries and the off-court chaos swirling about the team in the wake of the Ime Udoka scandal and the absence of Robert Williams III and Danilo Gallinari due to their respective injuries.
So with all that said, what sort of a grade should we give Joe Mazzulla for his interim coach era with the Celtics?
The folks over at the CLNS Media “Winning Plays” podcast linked up with guest Chris Forsberg of NBC Sports Boston to talk it over.
Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say.
