Denise Barrett-Baxendale has revealed a post-match conversation with Frank Lampard in the boardroom following Everton's win over Brentford last weekend.
The Blues secured a rousing 4-1 victory to secure a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup, which will see them welcome Boreham Wood to Goodison Park next month.
And, after the game, the new Blues manager made a visit to the boardroom to talk about the atmosphere he had just experienced inside the stadium.
Speaking in her programme notes, Barrett-Baxendale revealed that a famous Alan ball quote was fresh in the mind of the boss.

She wrote: "Alan Ball's famous phrase 'Once Everton has touched you nothing will be the same' is etched around the stadium in several places. I think Frank quickly became aware of the validity of those words.
"After the game, he visited the boardroom and referenced that famous phrase. He also spoke with such enthusiasm about the atmosphere, the passion and the intensity which helped drive our players on to a memorable victory and a place in the last 16 of the FA Cup.
"That's for the future. Now we must devote all our attention to picking up three points this afternoon and climbing up the Premier League table.
"We can do that together. Supporters, players and officials."
Everton 's chief executive also discussed some recent antisocial incidents that have taken place in and around the ground.
Barrett-Baxendale urged supporters to represent the club in the best way possible.
"Fortunately we are blessed here to have a crowd that, almost entirely, knows how to provide passionate and fervent support without verging into inappropriate or illegal behaviour," she added.
"Nevertheless, in recent months there has been an increase in instances of pitch encroachment and missile throwing. We are all representatives of Everton Football Club wherever we go, and we all have a role to play in ensuring the club is presented in the best way possible.
"That's not just here at Goodison Park when we are roaring Frank's players on, but outside the stadium, travelling to and from away games and abroad."
To finish the programme notes, Barrett-Baxendale also discussed upcoming plans for fan engagement in the next few months.
She remarked: "We are currently working on a plan to create sub-divisions of the International Supporters' Club committees covering Europe and Asia alongside the Americas.
"This will allow us to engage with groups by geographical location and better understand any requirements or issues specific to them.
"In parallel with the launch of the Fan Advisory Board, we will also introduce a series of open and inclusive fan events that will enable open and clear dialogue with the club's senior leaders.
"We'll reveal more about these events in the coming months."
