So the Manchester Evening News is now on site at Parklife, and yes of course set-times are important, but so is how much your fuel is going to cost to keep you going until the headliners. We just want to make sure that you’re not still peckish when 50 Cent comes on.
Parklife 2022 has arrived and while set-times are important, so is how much your fuel is going to cost to keep you going until the headliners. After all, you don't want to be peckish right when 50 Cent comes on.
With all that in mind, we're highlighted just some of the best food options and the prices involved this year. The offers include spicy macaroni cheese, vegan steak burgers, and - wait for it - pear and grape pizza.

Those looking to branch out could divulge in a bit of Thai, or even a mezze tray featuring all kinds of meat, cheese and Mediterranean delights. Here's our recommendations.
Crooked K’s Macaroni
Macaroni of all stripes from Crooked K’s, with their signature three cheese sauce and more toppings than you could shake a glo-stick at. There’s chilli cheese, smoky bacon, ‘Good Cop Bad Cop’ (with stuffed breaded jalapenos) and the ‘Fresh Prince’, with breaded prawns and chipotle may. Prices range from £10 for the basic up to £12 for your fancy options.
Wrap Up Burritos
A whole host of Mexican wraps on offer here from Wrap Up. The Pedro’s Chicken has chicken breast strips, with grilled peppers, cheddar, sour cream, jalapenos, salsa and aromatic rice. There’s a Five Bean Chilli (both vegan and veggie), the Chilli Beef and the Herbie’s Halloumi, and the prices range from £12.50 up to £14 for the Macho Burrito, which has everything.
New York Slice
Slice lovers should be making a beeline to New York Slice, though the prices are ‘toppy’. Margarita is £9, while pepperoni, BBQ chicken are £9.50. A couple of curve balls - Grow A Pair features pear, grape, walnut and stilton, topped with rocket (£9.50) and Something Squashed has roast squash, garlic puree, broccoli and pine nuts (also £9.50).
Chicken Run
Some solid fried chicken going on here. Bite Boxes - with chicken fillet bites, smokey fries and slaw - will set you back a tenner, while the Big Banquet is a solid £15, with bites, strips, a chicken fillet, fries and slaw. But you might only need that for the day.
Stack’d Burgers and Dogs
Two hands needed for these. The Ranger has streaky bacon, BBQ sauce, the Hot AF has - unsurprisingly - bags of jalapenos, while the Cheese Chase is a vegan steak burger with jack cheese. Prices range from £10 for your basic burger, up to £16 for the ‘Empire’. There are dogs too, with the chilli cheese weighing in at £12.
Mister Kebab
Cooked over a charcoal pit, these ‘babs look the real deal. There’s a chicken tikka (£10), lamb (£10), paneer (£10), with fries for a fiver.
Edgy Veggie
Served from a cute green van, near The Valley, there’s a three bean chilli Sloppy Joe veggie burger (£9), a sweet potato and chickpea curry (£9), smokey BBQ jackfruit (£9) and a falafel flatbread (£9).
Greek Street Food
Who doesn’t love a gyro. There are CHIPS in them. Greek Street Food has them with chicken, pork, halloumi, and feta with olives, all at £12. A big mezze tray will set you back £25, but should feed a few of you.
Notorious PIG
Winning the best-named outlet by a mile, there’s dogs - straight up or loaded with pulled pork - thick cut bacon in a brioche roll, and loaded fries, all in sight of the main stage.
Tom’s Thai
Choose from thai green curries (£10, plus £2 extra for chicken or tofu), pad thai (£11, plus £2 for chicken and tofu) or a taster platter with a selection of everything plus some prawn crackers and spring rolls for £16.50.
