Erik ten Hag has spoken out about Cristiano Ronaldo for the first time since the striker left Old Trafford early against Tottenham Hotspur in a 2-0 win for Manchester United on Wednesday.
The incident happened just half an hour after Chelsea's 0-0 draw with Brentford finished and has acted as the immediate backdrop for the Blues' fixture against United on Saturday (October 22).
Manchester United released a statement on Thursday night saying: "Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of the Manchester United squad for this Saturday’s Premier League game against Chelsea. The rest of the squad is fully focused on preparing for that fixture."
