Mikel Arteta lived with Anfield regrets for years after 'hiding' from Liverpool

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta doesn't appear to be a huge fan of visiting Anfield and has spoken of the time he once 'froze' at the home of Liverpool before losing 5-1 during a match for the Gunners in February 2014. Arsenal were the Premier League leaders before the match, but Liverpool were far too much for them.

Speaking in the new Amazon Prime documentary, Arsenal: All or Nothing, Arteta was trying to to prepare his side for their visit to Anfield in November last year - match that Liverpool won 4-0 despite the Spaniard's best efforts to motivate his players.

The former Arsenal and Everton player told his players Anfield is 'different' to any ground in the Premier League due to its famous atmosphere and ability to give Liverpool 's players an extra lift - something they did that evening in November.
