What does 1.5 goals mean in betting and when to bet on it

Betting on goals is one of the most popular ways to wager on football, and the over/under 1.5 goals market is where punters bet on the total number of goals scored by both teams combined in a match.

1.5 is set as the line on betting sites, with the addition of the half goal (the .5) removing the possibility of a draw.
