Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo was seen leaving the pitch in tears as his World Cup campaign came to an end in dramatic fashion. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner headed straight down the tunnel as the full-time whistle was blown with Morocco winning 1-0 against Portugal.
The 37-year-old had been dropped once again by manager Fernando Santos after missing their last 16 win over Switzerland. His replacement for that clash, Goncalo Ramos, started ahead of Ronaldo once again after his hat-trick against the Swiss.

It is likely to be Ronaldo's last major international tournament with Portugal as his glittering career continues to draw to a close. The 37-year-old was visibly distraught after his nation were knocked out of the tournament in Qatar as he left the pitch with tears in his eyes.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been at the centre of the drama once again after he was dropped by Santos following his poor reaction to being substituted against South Korea in the group stages. Ronaldo came on as a substitute in his last two World Cup appearances but he is now set to end his career without winning the World Cup.
