The unravelling of Hunter Biden’s plea agreement this week has thrust his criminal case into uncertain waters and given new fodder to Republican critics in the United States Congress as they push ahead with investigations into President Joe Biden’s youngest son.

Hunter Biden was expected to plead guilty on Wednesday to misdemeanor charges for failing to pay taxes.
