What channel is The Ashes on and is there terrestrial TV coverage?

The Ashes gets going today as England look to take back the urn from Australia.

The 73rd edition of the competition will take place over the course of the summer, with five Tests played from today until July 27th. The final test will be played at The Kia Oval in London.

The Women's Ashes get underway on June 22nd and runs until July 18th.

How to watch the Ashes

The Ashes will be shown live on Sky Sports Cricket and Sky Sports Main Event, with coverage starting at 9.30am on Friday, June 16th at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

You can also live stream The Ashes using Sky Go or NOW TV on mobile phone, desktop or tablet. Now TV day and monthly passes are available to buy here.

You will be able to watch highlights of The Ashes on terrestrial TV via BBC Two and BBC IPlayer from 7pm tonight.

What time do the Ashes start?

The Ashes will get underway at 11am and run until 6.55pm. The rest of the Tests will follow similar timing.
