West Ham United will be aiming to remain in two cup competitions this season and boost their chances of winning some silverware by defeating Southampton in the fifth round of the FA Cup at St. Mary’s Stadium.
The Hammers remain in the hunt for a top four finish in the Premier League and also have Europa League duties to contend with in what has been another impressive campaign, with their most recent game ending in a 1-0 victory over Wolves on Sunday.
As for the Saints, they defeated Norwich City 2-0 on Friday night to continue their good run of form and climb up to ninth in the league, while they have lost just one of their previous 11 games in all competitions.
And the south coast club will be keen to go as far as they can in this cup competition, with the European places probably too much of an ask for them and the threat of relegation no longer a worry.
David Moyes' side have already seen off Leeds United and Kidderminster Harriers in the FA Cup this season, while Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team have defeated Swansea City and Coventry City.

Team news
Southampton came away unscathed from their Friday night victory over Norwich and Hasenhuttl could opt to stick with the same side given they have had an extra two days' rest over their opponents.
He will, however, continue to be without three of his first team players, as Nathan Tella (groin), Alex McCarthy (thigh) and Lyanco (thigh) are all ruled out of this contest.
As for the Irons, Moyes is set to make changes from the side that played just three days ago, although he has five injury concerns to contend with ahead of this tie.
Andriy Yarmolenko could come back into the squad, but Vladimir Coufal (hernia), Ryan Fredericks (groin), Angelo Ogbonna (knee) and Arthur Masuaku (knee) are all set to miss out once again.
