What Celtic pundits said as Alex Neil brands league leaders 'unstoppable' after relentless Motherwell rout

Impressed Alex Neil reckons Celtic looked "unstoppable" as they saw off Motherwell to keep up their title surge.

The Fir Park could do little to stop Ange Postecoglou 's side in a relentless 4-0 rout in Lanarkshire.

Liel Abada turned home Reo Hatate's perfect pass before Tom Rogic helped himself to a deadly double before the break.

Daizen Maeda added a fourth in the second half to complete the demolition job.

Former Preston, Hamilton and Norwich boss Neil gave Celtic high marks for their display.

He told Sky Sports: I think this as good as I've seen Celtic play in a long, long time.

"I think teams will be terrified of playing Celtic, particularly at Parkhead. I think teams will be looking at going to Celtic Park thinking 'I'll take a 2-0 loss.'

"Ange's style has been difficult for people to handle at the minute.

"Nobody has the solution for how to counter it. It's extremely difficult to deal with and the only team with the players to deal with it at the moment is Rangers.

"I think Celtic look unstoppable at the minute."

Fellow pundit Kris Boyd also believes the visitors are only getting sharper as the Premiership campaign continues.

He added: "You might have been questioned it if Celtic could go and replicate the performance from Wednesday night, but to be honest the look like they have went and topped."

"They were excellent from start to finish. I've said it myself, Celtic have dropped off in games, but today they didn't.

"That will be worrying because the fitness levels are obviously getting to a stage where they are difficult to stop."

Neil reckons it should have been a more impressive winning margin, adding: "I think if you are a Motherwell player going away today you're looking at that thinking, ok I've lost by four, but that could have been six, seven or eight. It's a credit to (Liam) Kelly for his performance."
