Bolton Wanderers have a total of 10 players out of contract next summer as some big decisions to be taken.
Wanderers sit sixth as things stand in League One and are in the play-offs of the third tier of English football. After a ninth placed finish last season, the focus is on being in the top six and in the mix for promotion this campaign.
Though the focus at the Whites is of course on matters on the pitch after only 16 games of the season, there will in time come a stage when decisions will have to be made on some members of the Bolton squad and if they will continue to have a future at the club. Bolton have 10 players out of contract next summer as things stand.

That group includes goalkeeper Joel Dixon and central defender Will Aimson. Central midfielders MJ Williams, Kieran Lee, Josh Sheehan and George Thomason are also in that group, as is winger Lloyd Isgrove and forwards Elias Kachunga, Amadou Bakayoko and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson.
Ian Evatt has said the subject of fresh contracts is something he speaks about with his players, but at this moment, the club are not in a position to make fresh offers for those players out of contract next summer.

Elias Kachunga
“I have been in the game long enough so I know how it works. If I produce good performances - and I feel right now I am really at the club. Everyone welcomed me last season with open arms and so far I have just had a brilliant time here.
"I just want to keep performing with the team and to help the team. I think so far this works really well and in the next months, we will speak and see what is coming out of it.”
Jon Dadi Bodvarsson
“There haven’t been talks. I think both parties are just seeing how this goes, keep my fitness well, start the season strong and then hopefully it comes and we will see what happens.”
Kieran Lee
“We have got a big squad and some good players, especially in the midfield areas. I am getting a bit older so the manager wants to freshen it up at times, which is fine.
“I feel as fit as I ever have – it’s still early in the season so I will see how things go, but I think it could do (prolong my career), yeah."

“Thankfully I’ve been given a new contract and I’m happy to stay here. This is my home now. I love coming in every single day, working with the gaffer and all the other staff, and the players who are absolutely brilliant.
“It’s a close club and I want to stay here as long as possible and give everything I have.”
