Voters in Rossendale have had their say in the 2022 local elections.
One council seat was up for grabs in Eden, Goodshaw, Greenfield, Greensclough, Hareholme, Healey and Whitworth, Helmshore, Irwell, Longholme, Stacksteads, Whitewell and Worsley.
The council, which was under Labour control before the election, comprises of 36 elected councillors representing 14 wards across the borough. Each councillor is elected to serve a four-year term, with the elections covering one-third of the seats that take place every year.
Apart from one year in the four years when county council elections are held. The next county council elections will take place in May 2025.
Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday, May 5, with the Rossendale count expected to take place during the day on Friday.
