Antonio Conte's side secured their second win of the season on Saturday when Wolves travelled to N17. Harry Kane once again scored a crucial goal in the tie, leaving Spurs in fourth place after three games.
There were similarities between the fixture at the weekend and the game at Stamford Bridge just a week before. Tottenham had a poor first-half performance and struggled to get ahead in the game.
Yet again, Conte made substitutions that came on to add fresh legs and energy and helped change the game. Despite the sloppy first-half display, Spurs have now secured seven out of a possible nine points, and they still have more to give, which is something the 53-year-old was asked about in his post-match press conference.

"I have to be very clear. In my opinion, last season, this type of game, you weren't so prepared to find this difficult and probably this type of game you're going to lose at the end. In fact, last season, we lost at home against Southampton, at home against Wolverhampton and against Chelsea. Now against these three teams, I was really worried when I saw the schedule (laughs)," he admitted.
"I said that if we repeat the same results as last season, we stay after three games with zero points. Instead to get seven points showed that this team is improving in many aspects, but we want to continue to improve because, for sure, this is not enough to be competitive, to fight for something important, but we have one year in front of us to continue to work, to implement our tactical knowledge.
"I'm confident because this group is a really good group of people. There is great chemistry between us, and I think this is important because when there is chemistry, you are able to overcome the difficulty," Conte added.
The Italian always shows his passion on the sideline and is always seen making his way up and down the touchline and jumping around in celebration when his side scores. This is usually clear to see in Tottenham's Conte cam clips, but this week was slightly different.
Kane's header in the first half, which came off an Ivan Perisic cross, was tipped over, and Conte's reaction was a drop of his head. The opposing side had 20 shots at goal, and although only three were on target, you could see the Spurs boss' frustration with his players, for allowing their attacks.
In the second half, Perisic took a corner, but after a scramble in the box, it came to nothing. Conte, on the sideline, made a heading motion and then put his hands on his forehead when the ball was cleared, continuing to show his frustration.
The 53-year-old usually jumps around and embraces his coaching staff when Tottenham score. You would think that this would've been the same on Saturday, after a sloppy first half and having to wait 64 minutes to take the lead.
However, when Kane's header hit the back of the net, Conte walked towards the dugout and just had a quick handshake with Cristian Stellini. The hard work didn't stop there, and the Italian was still shouting at his players for the final 25 minutes of the match.
One of his most angry outbursts was when Richarlison had the ball in the attacking third. He made the pass across to Dejan Kulusevski, who then passed it to Emerson Royal on the right flank. The Brazilian attempted to cross the ball into the box but didn't get it off the ground, and it went right across goal, behind Richarlison and Ryan Sessegnon, who were making runs into the box.
Conte put his arms out high in the air and then turned to his coaching staff and let out his anger. The Spurs boss seemed to hold up two fingers and express his frustration, although it isn't clear what the gesture was or who it was aimed at. Maybe it was to Royal for the poor cross, or maybe he wanted more players in the box.
At the end of the game, the 53-year-old clenched his fist and then had his little celebration for the win. Throughout the game, Conte still showed his passion on the sideline and was as vocal as ever, but the celebrations just seemed slightly tamer, although all he will care about is that Spurs secured all three points.
