Liverpool secured a sixth successive victory when they scrapped to beat Brentford on Saturday evening.
Mohamed Salah's 30th goal of the season was sufficient as the Reds earned a 1-0 triumph. The result means Jurgen Klopp’s side still have a faint hope of Champions League qualification, although a European berth appears more likely.
But there was plenty that went unnoticed or under the radar during the 90 minutes at Anfield.

Kraweitz driven crazy
It would have taken some effort to outstrip the boos emanating from the home supporters during the national anthem on Saturday. Anthony Taylor, though, appeared quite willing to give it a good go.
The referee infuriated the Anfield crowd by awarding a constant stream of free-kicks to Brentford to provide the set-pieces specialists a regular opportunity to test the Liverpool defence.
And it was all too much for Reds assistant manager Peter Krawietz, who reacted to yet another foul awarded against the Reds late on in such a vigorous manner his notes flew all over the pitch. Krawietz could then be spotted somewhat sheepishly retrieving the papers before they fluttered away on the breeze.
Konate confused
Emotions were certainly running high during the game, largely due to the questionable officiating. Ibrahima Konate responded to one debatable foul being awarded against him in the second half by grabbing the ball and jumping up and down in sheer disbelief.
Meanwhile, Diogo Jota took exception to an unpunished challenge from Zanka, who then tussled with the Liverpool man on the turf before being shoved over in response.
An argument then ensued before referee Taylor stopped the game and gave the duo a ticking off. A rare occasion of Brentford not being given a free-kick.
Salah gets shirty
Mohamed Salah enjoyed another record-breaking evening, scoring his 100th Anfield goal for the Reds and moving on to 186 for the club, a total only four players have exceeded.
And Brentford player Vitaly Janelt was keen to take a souvenir from the game as he made a beeline after wards for Salah and requested an exchange of shirts.
The Egyptian, however, had already handed his jersey over to a supporter on the final whistle before requesting a training top to save him wandering around half-naked as Liverpool celebrated their win.
Cally spotted
There was a touching moment hours before the game outside the stadium. Ian Callaghan, whose club record of 857 appearances is unlikely to ever be beaten, could be seen walking undisturbed and perhaps unrecognised as a younger group of fans made their way behind the back of the redeveloped Anfield Road stand.
That was until the 81-year-old was spotted by a Reds fan nearer his vintage, who began regaling him with tales of having watched him from the boys pen on the Kop back in the 1960s.
It was at this point the nearby younger supporters realised they were in the presence of a true Liverpool legend. Smiles all round ensued.
