An official union submission has revealed fresh details about what police members want from the proposed ban on criminal gang symbols in the ACT.
Following a resurgence of activity reported in the capital, the ACT government said it would introduce a bill banning the public display of outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) insignia before the end of the year.
The Canberra Times previously reported it cost police more than $628,000 in salaries and overtime since 2024 to monitor overt bikie gatherings.
