Wetherspoons barmaid shares constant 2-4-1 pitcher complaint - and hack to overcome it

If you've ever been in a Wetherspoons, you'll know that one of their holy grail drinks is a pitcher.

Sugary, sweet, and cheap - you definitely get value for money when they're on the 2-4-1 deal.

But one Manchester Wetherspoons barmaid has revealed that customers always have the same complaints about the pitchers.

Despite this, Macey Newberry has said there is a question you can ask if you want your drink to taste better.

In the TikTok video, Macey role-plays a scenario with a 'Wetherspoons customer'.

The 'customer' asks for a pitcher, and Macey tells them they can get two for the price of one, and the customer obliges to get more for their money.

Macey then goes to make the drinks, and when she returns to the customer she's hit with the most common complaint.

She asks for the payment and then the 'customer' looks horrified.

The complaint? That the pitcher is full of ice.

"That's just how we serve the pitchers unfortunately", she starts, "but I can take some out if you want me to?"

The 'customer' then looks horrified and says 'no way', and demands the pitcher for free as the alcohol has been ruined by the amount of ice.

Macey then explains she can't have it for free - but if you want your drink with less ice or none at all, then all you need to do is ask.

She captioned the video: "It's just ice hun."

People found the video hilarious, with some Wetherspoons staff relating to the interaction.

One wrote: "People need to respect bar staff more, I relate."

"Most normal spoons interaction", another interjected.

Someone said: "Take off the hashtag and I'd still know this was spoons", followed by a laughing face.

"Honestly you don’t get paid enough for the amount of s*** customers you meet in hospitality", one joked.
