The UK’s largest public art trail is launching in major cities across the country with more than 100 artists taking part.
The project ‘The World Reimagined’ reflects on colonial histories and aims to educate people on the transatlantic slave trade and its impact across the world.
Westminster Abbey will host 42 globes ahead of the launch which has seen artists from across the UK contribute to the displays in their local area.
Artists who have contributed to the Westminster Abbey dispaly include Deanna Tyson, Foday Dumbuya, Geoffrey Chambers, Nicola Green and Shannon Bono.
Overarching themes of the display include Mother Africa, Still We Rise and Expanding Soul.
The exhibition aims to explore shared history and how racial justice can be achieved.
Globes will also be displayed in Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool City Region, and Swansea.
The Westminster display runs from August 12 to October 31and is free to attend.
