Westlife will ring in 2023 at Dublin's New Year’s Festival.
The boyband will be performing in the brand-new Festival Village on New Year’s Eve, with Gavin James and Lyra as special guests. The announcement follows one of the band’s most successful years ever, with sold-out worldwide stadium shows that included performances at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, Cork’s Páirc Uí Chaoimh, and London’s Wembley Stadium.
“2022 has been an incredible year for us,” the band said. “Seeing so many of our fans from around the world up close and personal, but there is always something extra special about a home crowd, so as we head into 2023 let’s do the countdown together, in style, at Dublin’s New Year’s Festival Dublin. It’s going to be an unforgettable party”.

The New Year’s Eve will have two midnight moment countdown events – a family-friendly matinee show from 4pm, followed by the evening show starting from 8pm.
The main countdown event will include visual and musical display, all performed in time with original music created especially for the countdown event. Meanwhile, the matinee show will have a special earlier countdown spectacle at 7pm with a carnival atmosphere.
On New Year’s Day, celebrations and festivities will continue. There will be live music in Temple Bar, interactive artwork displays, food, music and street performances and tie your New Year’s Resolutions to the special Resolution Tree. Further acts will be announced over the coming weeks.
“This is the first full-scale New Year’s Festival to take place in the capital since 2019 and is a flagship event for the Winter in Dublin campaign, which will encourage domestic and international visitors to celebrate in Dublin this New Year’s,” said Minister for Arts Catherine Martin,
Tickets for Westlife at the NYF Dublin Festival Village (priced €34.90 including booking fee) and Midnight Moment Matinee (Early Bird Tickets from. €7.90 including booking fee) will go on sale on Thursday 17 November at 9am from Ticketmaster.
