Nicky Byrne has said he is recovering well on the couch after a nasty fall following a Westlife gig earlier this week.
The Dubliner took a misstep and fell down some steps at the back of the stage during the band's Scottish gig, leaving the former Dancing With The Stars host with some nasty brusing.
Nicky is doing much better and even joked that he took ‘extra precautions’ at their next show, sharing a video of bandmate Shane Filan hoisting him down the stage stairs after the gig.

The dad of three was clearly in good spirits, as he delighted fans by sharing a sneak peak of behind the scenes footage from their Leeds concert, giving a tour of the group's dressing room which was stocked full with Haribo sweets, crackers, jams, coffee, and wine. There even was an Irish flag draped across the couch.
Despite suffering some serious bruising, Nicky said he was grateful to be alright after the accident: “Hey All, Thank you for all your well wishes! So last night I did have a little accident on stage in Glasgow, where I didn’t realise the mechanical stairs had opened behind me.
“A crazy moment which could have been a lot worse but I’m completely fine, a little bit battered and bruised but ok! I’ll see y’all back up there tonight.
“The show must go on. Thanks for all your well wishes. #ReallyFlyingWithoutWings”. He signed off, writing: “Love Nicky”.
He later added that he was “checked by the wonderful medics at the hydro”.
Fans were delighted to hear he was doing better and was able to continue touring, performing at Scotland and Leeds just days later. The world tour has been a huge hit, with fans commenting the boys online “Brilliant as always, a fantastic show. We had a blast” one fan wrote on Instagram.
“Absolutely a belter of a night. Cannot even speak today! Getting ready to do it all again in Newcastle on Saturday!” Said another.
Following a string of successful dates in Dublin and Cork over the summer, the beloved Irish boy band has been touring all over Europe and Asia and will also play three Christmas shows in the 3Arena in December.
The tour continues well into next year, meaning Nicky has decided to step down as host of RTE's Dancing with the Stars. He said in a statement at the time: "I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this show, full of glitz n’ glamour and of course, being a part of everyone’s Sunday night Winter TV viewing. It’s been a brilliant five seasons since we launched in 2017, working with the best crew in the world.
"I have smiled and laughed my way through those 59 shows to date and what a journey it’s been. I take away the greatest memories."
Doireann Garrihy has replaced Nicky and will co-host the show with Jennifer Zamparelli when it returns to our screens for a sixth season in January.
