Westcountry gran found dead after going missing in Greece

A grandmother who was reported missing while on holiday in Greece has been found dead. Susan Hart, 74 and from Bath, vanished in Telendos on April 30.

She reportedly planned to read a book while her husband, Ed, went rock climbing. Mrs Hart's daughter Ruth Landale said the family are heartbroken by the news.

As reported by The Express, a post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out in Greece. Ms Lansdale added that the family are waiting for her body to be repatriated to Switzerland where she was living.

Mrs Hart has three daughters who grew up in Bath. They now live in Canada, Australia and London with their young families.

According to Ms Landale, her mother had been showing symptoms of dementia over the last few years. However, she had not received a diagnosis.

"It's been a stressful and distressing time for the whole family," she said. A Foreign Office spokesman confirmed staff were providing assistance to the family and were in talks with local authorities.
